The Ref Fee is $50 per team per game. This fee is commonly divided amongst the players on a team. Although this can be split however it is decided by the team as long as the fee is paid entirely before the game begins. The game will not be played without the Ref Fee. 

Any player who plays in a game must pay the full amount for the entire season. The team must also inform the commissioner that this player will be joining their team. If the player does not have a jersey they are required to pay the “New Member Fee” when registering. A player can only play on one team in each league per season. 

At HOOPSTARS you can expect high level of play. We also make it a point to create a family friendly atmosphere. Often times children are in attendance. We want to create a positive and safe atmosphere for the whole family. Unsportsmanlike conduct and trash talking will not be tolerated at any point. Officials are instructed to call technical fouls at their discretion. If you receive a technical foul, you cannot come back into the game, or play again in HOOPSTARS, unless you pay the tech fee which is $20.

A team will not be put onto the schedule until the team minimum amount of players have paid in full. A player will not be able to play until they have paid in full for the season. HOOPSTARS incurs the operational costs to run the league, one being gym time, so teams cannot be scheduled without proper payment.

Once you become a player at HOOPSTARS, you can expect a highly competitive and family friendly atmosphere. You will receive a minimum of 7 regular season games per season and all games are officiated. Games are 40 minutes long with a continuous clock. There are perks for the winning team in each league. Many times there is a monetary prize, championship rings, and/or a HOOPSTARS championship trophy. Some games receive professional photography and videography. Highlights can be found on our HOOPSTARS instagram and Facebook pages @hoopstarsbasketballgroup. If you would like to request professional highlights for specific games, then an additional fee may occur. You will never be charged an additional fee unless discussed prior.

If you forget or lose your jersey, you must pay a $20 jersey replacement fee. If you show up to the game and cannot pay the jersey replacement fee, you may be deemed ineligible to play or your team may suffer a penalty (ex. other team shoots several free throws before the game begins).
